Introduction to the working principle of isostatic press

Isostatic press technology is to use Pascal principle to put the pressed material sealed in the flexible mold or the solid workpiece with closed shell into the high-pressure cylinder filled with fluid pressure medium, use high-pressure equipment to apply certain pressure to the pressure medium in the cylinder, and transfer the pressure to the interface of the flexible mold or workpiece evenly in all directions through the pressure medium, Under the action of isostatic pressure, the compressed material or workpiece will have a certain volume deformation, so as to realize isostatic pressing. If the pressed material is powder material, when the pressure acts on the surface of the flexible mold equally, the powder in the package will be compressed and densified uniformly, and its shape is smaller than and similar to the cavity of the flexible mold.
Isostatic pressing technology is usually divided into cold isostatic pressing, warm isostatic pressing and hot isostatic pressing according to the temperature of forming and consolidation.
Isostatic press is a technology to realize isostatic pressing at room temperature. It usually uses rubber or plastic as the material of the mould, and liquid or elastomer as the pressure medium. Cold isostatic pressing is mainly used for the molding and pressing of powder materials to provide preformed billets for further sintering, calcination or hot isostatic pressing.
It is the basis of isostatic pressure technology that the fluid medium transmits pressure equally in all directions at the same time.
The dry bag isostatic pressing method is to semi fix the elastic mold, not immerse it in the liquid medium, but seal it through the upper and lower pistons. The pressure pump injects the liquid medium between the high-pressure cylinder and the pressurized rubber, and the pressure is transferred through the liquid and the pressurized rubber to make the green body pressed and formed. This method can be operated continuously, that is, the upper cover of the mold is opened, the material is loaded, and then the upper cover is covered and pressed to form. When discharging, the upper cover is opened, and the blank is pushed out from the top through the ejector bar at the bottom. Short operation cycle, suitable for batch production.
